A Note on Performance:
Last week, some users experienced issues with estimates loading slowly or being unexpectedly logged out. We identified the core issue and deployed a fix immediately. Wave's performance is now back to full speed, and we've implemented additional monitoring to prevent similar issues in the future.

Smarter Conversations

Wave Now Understands Your Jobsite Better
This was a massive project. We spent weeks mapping out every room type you might encounter—residential kitchens, office spaces, warehouses, you name it. Then we cataloged all the ways people actually talk about these spaces. (Turns out there are a lot of ways to say "master bedroom.")

Here's why it matters: Wave now knows that if you're working in a kitchen, you need questions about cabinets. In a bathroom? It asks about vanities. Warehouse job? Completely different conversation. No more generic questions that waste your time—Wave adapts to the specific room you're in.

No More Unnecessary Questions
Fixed the workflow so Wave doesn't ask "which room?" when there's only one room in your estimate. Wave is smart enough to know when clarification is needed and when it can just get the job done.

Demolition Questions That Make Sense
Wave now only asks about demo days when there's actual demolition work on the job. If your scope doesn't include demo, you won't be asked unnecessary questions about it—keeping your workflow fast and focused.

Accuracy & Calculations

Walls and Ceilings Are Now Separate
When Wave asks about demolition work, it now properly distinguishes between walls and ceilings. This ensures your scope documentation is precise, like factoring in baseboards and trim if it’s a wall vs when ceilings are affected.

Smarter Equipment Calculations
Wave automatically calculates the right amount of air movers and dehumidifiers based on your total affected square footage, water category, and drying days. The equipment recommendations follow industry standards (Class, CFM, and PPD guidelines) so you can trust the numbers. A note here, we’re still visually improving this so you won’t see [“n” number of fans] x [“d” number of drying days] (like 4*3). You’ll instead see “12”. We’re aware and this will be patched in the coming updates.

Updated Quantity Intelligence
Wave applies smarter default values when you don't specify exact measurements, and these intelligent fallbacks are based on industry standards and room context—keeping your workflow fast while maintaining accuracy.

Better Editing Experience

Modify Line Items with Ease
Wave can now change quantities, adjust equipment, and update scope details through the chat after your estimate is complete. Some of these things were possible before, but were often met with errors in the chat response. These should be patched. In the next update later this week, Wave will be able to “Add” items and rooms, and recognize when you’ve done these manually.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the chat would break when manually adding miscellaneous line items
- Resolved validation errors that appeared when editing demo scopes—Wave now handles these situations smoothly

More updates coming soon! As always, thanks for the support in testing out the product. We hope that we're making a difference with your team. Keep providing feedback to us so that we can know what to improve. And thank you for being a part of the Wave family.
