If you try to create an estimate, the chat is going to look empty after submitting. Tap on the tab “Main” at the top to begin the water damage. We’re fixing this and it should be resolved within about 48 hours of this post or sooner.

Errors Cut by 90%
Remember those frustrating "I encountered an issue processing your request..." messages? We've squashed the bugs causing them. Wave now successfully processes your responses about 9 out of 10 times. That means faster estimates with way less friction. There’s still some last work to do here, but you should notice the improvements significantly.

Your Custom Numbers Actually Stick
We fixed a critical issue where Wave would ignore your input. When you say "150 square feet of floor protection," Wave now uses 150, not some calculated guess. Your numbers, your estimate. The more detailed you are the first time, the faster your estimate is ready to bill. In the future, we’ll make Wave’s questions more clear to remind you to provide an input.

Edit Everything, Not Just Quantities

Full Control Over Your Line Items
You can now edit all the details of any line item (not just the quantity). Change descriptions, adjust pricing, update units of measurement, whatever you need. Wave gives you complete flexibility to dial in your estimates exactly how you want them.

Search Your Price List as You Type
Adding items manually? Start typing and Wave will show you matching line items from your price list, complete with pricing. No more hunting through codes or memorizing prices. Just type "containment" and pick the right one.

Make Changes on Your Phone
All of these editing features now work on mobile. Build and refine estimates right from the field without switching to desktop.

Add and Rename Rooms, Edit Custom Line Items
Wave now recognizes when you've manually added items or rooms, so it doesn't get tripped up by changes you make outside the chat. The conversation flows more naturally.

Account Management
You can now change your email address and password directly in your account settings (previously this wasn't possible). Side note, only admins can change their email. Let me know if there’s ever any trouble here and we can fix this.

No more “Thinking” or “Processing” status pill when a message isn’t sent. :)

What's Coming Next

We’re actively working on:

Improved visuals for line item upgrades
When you mark an item as “Category 3” or “After Hours”. The system currently makes the update, but visually it’s not clear. It also doesn’t state this in the pdf export. We’re aware and this should be patched in the coming days.

Photo management
Use this for your workflow to upload and download individual photos or all at once. This will help collaboration between techs and estimating. When you download photos, they’ll be automatically named, such as “Kitchen 1”, “Kitchen 2”, etc.

Improved Text Input
The chat box will expand when you hit Enter, making it easier to write longer messages or make multiple points at once.

Better Voice Input
The microphone will let you record for up to 90 seconds (up from 60), and show a visual sound wave so you know it's listening. You'll also see a countdown when your time is running out.
